Need a new fundraising idea?

If I was to sell Dave is Brave through retail distributors they would ask for a significant percentage of the retial price.  I appreciate this is necessary, but I would much prefer that this money go to the services supporting the children and families for whom the Learn to be Buddies series was written.

So I am introducting a fundraising scheme, where schools, child care services, libraries, playgroups and early intervention services have the opportunity to keep the money that would be destined for distributors.

How it works:

1. You recieve a fundraising package, which includes the following:

      a) One Dave is Brave Pack consisting of all products

      b) Instructions, a poster and a Collation Order Form

      c) A master Customer Order Form to be photocopied

      d) Money envelopes

2. As you would for other fundraising schemes, you provide families and staff with a Customer Order Form.  Alternately, make the order forms available at your school, centre or service.

3. Your staff and families take orders and collect money.

4. You compile the orders and money on the Collation Order Form.

5. You keep 30% of the proceeds for your school, playgroup or service.

6. You send the orders and a cheque for the remainder of the money to Amanda.

7. Option 1: Amanda packages and sends off the orders to each individual customer so you do not have to worry about distributing the book (customers will need to pay for postage).

   Option 2:  Available to those living in the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie area (NSW) only.  You pick up the books from Amanda and distribute them to customers yourself (your customers will not need to pay for postage).

8. You can run the fundraiser for a specific length of time (eg. one month), or run it indefinitely.  If you choose the latter, you will take orders and payments at your centre, playgroup or school for an extended period of time and submit them regularly to Amanda.
